A Winnie the Pooh party theme is a versatile idea as one can use it for both kids’ parties and baby showers. It seems to fit everywhere. The main feature of such a party theme are the red and yellow colors, as well as themed decor and food. I’d go as far as getting a Winnie the Pooh mascot for a kids’ party. I’ve collected a few ideas, and some tips to help you make the day a reality. Most of these will work for either baby showers or kids’ birthday parties.
What do we know about Winnie the Pooh? He is a thoughtful and friendly bear who loves his “hunny”. He will actually follow the “call of the honey pots” when sniffing his way back home.
Winnie the Pooh Party Ideas
Winnie the Pooh party decor – this backdrop can fast track your Winnie the Pooh party decorating. The balloon arrangements are inline with the theme colors of the character. I love the above display because it is not blocked by a table, although it may work just fine even with a table against it. Besides being a backdrop for table decor, you can use it as a photograph background. Kids will love having such photos to walk them down memory lane.
Winnie the Pooh cake – If you know a cake decorator, show them some ideas from the net. Another great alternative is to purchase Winnie the pooh cake toppers (or cupcake toppers). You can find both edible, and those that are purely decorative. They make it easy to have a themed cake without the struggle of decorating it from scratch, by yourself.
Winnie the Pooh themed food -this cute bear loves his honey (hunny). Make it the theme of your party or baby shower. Cheryl from 40 Aprons (above) went all out for her kid’s party. She did not disregard Winnie’s friends in the theme. She created carrots from Rabbit’s garden, edible Tigger tails, and of course, Winnie’s favorite – a beehive croquembouche made from donuts!
Winnie the pooh games – For younger children, this Winnie the pooh game is a perfect activity. Have them recalling the characters in the story.
Winnie the pooh favors -In my opinion, these baby shower party favors are the best! Taking simple planters and turning them into Winnie’s honey pots is a brilliant idea. Anyone can pull off this craft as long as they have yellow/gold paint and the planters. You can get a set of 6 for less than $10 (not bad). If you are not big on DIY, do not make the dripping honey drawing too complicated (see the video below):
Filling up the goodie bags should not be difficult for the little ones. Find some ideas here.
